2003-11-27: "Burning the candle again"

I've been asked to work late.

I'm on holiday next week, and the work that I was supposed to be doing this week has only just been specified, so now I have to catch up, and find someone to hand over the work to. It means a bit of overtime money, but I'm not sure what I'm going to put on my timesheet for the first half of this week. I was mostly playing with Perl scripts and setting up this site and blog.

I've had my carried forward holiday approved, so I'm going to have to have a week off in January.

Updated 2004-02-04: I didn't get that week off. Too busy. I was ill for a week, though, but that isn't really the same thing.
